A little bit of history
We originally began making tables for the trade, but quickly responded to demands from the local community to sell direct. Soon afterwards our local customers began asking for the same quality of chairs, cabinets, TV cabinets, desks (it's a long list!) to match their tables. So our range evolved naturally into the sophisticated collection you will discover at our showrooms today.

Our workshop
A touch of technical insight
We are wood specialists and expert french polishers. Our Cabinet Makers, Polishers and Cabinet Fitters process some 327 different operations to make a fairly simple piece for you. They use old methods and new as appropriate. Dovetails for example still make the best drawers. Nowadays, core materials and solid timbers have to withstand living in your centrally heated home, so naturally we prepare them accordingly.

The quality of our hand polishing is second to none in the furniture industry and perfectly complements The Table Place's exceptionally high One of our polishers at work. Every piece goes through 27 separate polishing processesstandards of cabinet making. Each and every hand finished piece of furniture from our polishing shop is Hallmarked accordingly.
